Take Action Guides
The Just Focus team are in the process of developing some youth-friendly Take Action Guides to help you out. In the meantime…
Taking IT Global, has created a comprehensive Guide to Action(PDF 5MB).
The Global Education Centre has also created a TAKE ACTION (PDF 1.5mb) mag. It’s designed for youth workers, but it has heaps of interesting stuff in it. Download the PDF or contact us: info@justfocus.org.nz to be sent a hard copy (within NZ).
Oxfam has a whole lot of ways to Take Action on Fair Trade , and People and Planet in the UK have a guide on how to get your university /school to go Fair Trade.
The Ministry of Youth Development have created a number of Action Guides as part of PROVOKE. The topics include how to write a press release, how to speak and school assembly and how to write a submission.
Volunteering
Want to volunteer, but not sure how to go about it ethically? Download VSA’s Volunteering Overseas Guide (1.6MB) or check out the ethical volunteering site for things to think about and tips on how to find a good organisation.
