PACIFIC YOUTH FESTIVAL

The 1st Pacific Youth Festival is being held in July this year. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people from all across the Pacific to meet, talk, think and work together on issues and challenges facing youth in today’s globalised world.
The 6 days will consist of conferences and workshops and cultural evenings. The festival is based around 4 central pillars to “build the world”:

  • Fair globalisation
  • Sustainable development
  • Cultural diversity
  • Conditions of Peace

Up to 1400 participants will take part, all aged 16-30, from up to 30 countries or territories in the region, including Aotearoa New Zealand.
This will be an amazing chance to learn more, have your say, meet people from all over the Pacific and to be involved in developing the first Pacific Youth Charter!

For more information, check out The Pacific Youth Festival 2006 pdf.
