We hope you all had a good Guy Fawkes night on the 5th of November – no exploded body parts or infernos! Did you know that the 5th of November is also Parihaka Day?

Parihaka is a significant part of our history and a story of non-violent resistance that precedes Gandhi and other peacemakers. It is also a story of gross misuse of power and of human rights abuses.
