Just Focus is a new project for young people, by young people, to engage with issues that affect us in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally.
A whole crew of young people from all over Aotearoa New Zealand have been working long and hard to bring Just Focus to you.
A big shout out to all of you who have contributed articles, ideas, time and energy to get the site live. You should all be damn proud of yourselves!

Official Launch
So the site is live but that doesn’t mean we have forgotten that we have the perfect excuse for a party!
A proper launch party is yet to be organized but it will happen… maybe in October before the National Youth Hui.

National Youth Hui
‘Global Camp’ offers a chance for people throughout the country to get together for training, discussion and campaign building, and basically to have some fun.
The plan for global camp is to have 4 camps a year in the school holidays for 4 days each. Camps will cater for about 20 young people a time and be held in different areas of New Zealand.

Make Poverty History
‘EVERY single day, 30,000 children are dying as a result of extreme poverty.
That’s one child every three seconds.
This year we finally have the resources, knowledge and opportunity to end this shameful situation. In 2005 thousands of people in countries all around the world are coming together to MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY once and for all.
MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY Aotearoa New Zealand is part of this massive global movement. It is made up of a coalition of organisations from across the country who have come together to call for the New Zealand government to play its part in ending poverty. ‘
