“AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH” REVIEW

I saw this movie tonight and it scared the hell out of me.

Before this I didn’t know much about global warming… I knew it was something we should be worrying about, but didn’t realise that it has already had such drastic effects, or how urgent it is to stop it.

I also thought there was disagreement amongst scientists about whether it was human-caused. But I now know that in actual fact, although the politicians disagree, scientists are basically unanimous that we are causing it. It’s not a theory, it’s a real threat.

The movie, based around a slide-show/talk that Al Gore has been taking around cities of America and the world, is grounded in real science and does not just blindly show one side of the story… it addresses misconceptions about the issue and explains the science in clear ways. I challenge any sceptics to see the film before attacking the global warming consensus.

An Inconvenient Truth is informative, understandable, very visual, alarming yet hopeful, highly relevant and even funny.

Definitely recommended to anyone, novice or expert on this issue… It affects us all, after all.
