I am finally in Peru and I am really enjoying it. Lima is a city that is covered by smog. Seeing the sky is impossible. I have seen the plaza del armas, very nice part and numerous shanty towns. I have seen street kids sifting through rubbish. If anyone wants a picture of a shanty town for an assignment, I have quite a few. It rained a bit in Lima yesterday. My host family thinks that it is cold, but it is really hot for me. My Spanish is getting there slowly, it comes and goes, sometimes I can chat for ages. Sometimes, es imposible (yes, I know that the subjuctive is required after that phrase).
